Apartment Review for The Canyons - Fort Worth, TX

I moved to the Canyons for security reasons. They had security gates and alarms. After I moved in I found that all of the security were left open for days (and nights) at a time. Sometimes weeks. Within 3 weeks my car had been broken into. The neighbor downstairs was raped, and the cops were always at the complex taking reports. In a month there were over 40 break-ins at this complex. Very Unsafe. I was afraid for my teenage daughter's safety all the time. The complex put up signs that the gates would be closed from 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM and when I would take the dogs out at around 5:00 all of the gates would be wide open. Very few people stay for more then a few months because there are so many break ins. Not a week goes by where you don't see maintenance fixing a door that has been forced open or a car window that is broken due to break-ins.
