Apartment Review for Cumberland On Granbury - Fort Worth, TX

I should have never signed my lease because the minute i did I heard how they talk about there tenants. They thought I had left the office but I went to use the computer in the lobby. Tia was celebrating with Alaina about how they really snowed me over and Tia said " Thats how you get em where they have no choice but to sign" I knew we had em really worked him good used the separation from his wife against him. . I was so pissed i couldnt see straight. I went to the office the next day and let them know i heard everything they said and i didnt want anything to do with them. Tia turned red and said its a contract and you have to honor it. Did you notice that she never denied that is what she said ? Well guess what ???? 7 months and thousands of dollars later i did just that. I paid them rent on time every month on an empty apartment. About a month ago I had to have emergency surgery related to an injury i had in the Marine Corps. I had a broken bone in my leg that became infected and it almost killed me. Once i was able to get around and not drugged up I went by the office and told them for the 8th time that i am turning these keys in and i dont owe you another penny and my lease is up. They told me that i will still have to pay them 312.00 protated rent. Then they said too bad because a contract is a contract and i didnt give them a 30 move out notice " in writing". I said hey you guys know that I have been in here begging you all of these months to put someone in my apartment so i could actually afford to eat something other than ramen noodles and now you guys automatically assume that i want to keep paying month to month after my lease has ended ? Very rudely Tammy , Tia , and Alaina all said yeah and that doesnt matter because you didnt give it to us in writing. We dont send out reminders because you are an adult and should be responsible enough to take care of your business and read your lease. Tia said its not our fault that you had to have surgery . i explained about how my surgery was an emergency surgery and they still said too bad. The worst thing i could wish on them is that I hope something real soon comes up thats beyond their control and they get to deal with someone just like them. So if you want to deal with these kind of people than go ahead but don't expect a warm fuzzy , pet friendly , family atmosphere from these people. I can understand that i need to fulfill the lease but to just bend me over and kick a man when he is down is just pathetic. its the middle of the summer and it wouldnt have cost them any money or time to just let me go. the apartment is clean and hasnt been lived in plus i fulfilled my lease. Would it kill these people to have some compassion and offer something remotely like customer service. If these people were on fire I wouldnt urinate on them to put them out. No the management of this complex will probably get some of their friends to dispute this . i dont mind because this is exactly what happened and the truth is on my side . All of these people spreading lies about Cumberland on Granbury loves their dog , and its the best place in the world to live, need to get a freakin clue. these people do not give a rats behind about you. They will cut your throat and hang you out to dry no matter how hard you try to work with them, no matter how much money you pay them on time, no matter if you fulfill your lease like i did. They absolutely dont freaking care about anything except getting your money. I dont mind that they dont give a crap but to act like they do just gets under my skin. It reminds me of all these preachers who cry on tv and 3 seconds later they are smiling .
