Apartment Review for Crescent Oaks - Fort Worth, TX

i moved in these apts in may of 2008. i did my walk around turned in my form and was promised the maintenance would be done asap. right after i moved in a new management company took over.after three months of bugging the office and finally bugging code compliance my front door, tub, closet door, and hole in the wall were fixed. the girl in the office is rude and when you make a formal compaint to the manager nothing is done. she even had the audacity to tell me that she is the sweetest person she ever met and had never witnessed her being rude to anyone!! as if i am lying for no reason. the water here is always off and ifit is by chance on it is far beyond freezing cold. i went an entire month with no water and still had a water bill, which i refused to pay and the manager finally dropped the amount off what i owed but now is counting that against me as being late payments. i have been late twice on rent due to having to pay for a hotl because when they finally did the required repairs i was at work and they did not notify me so when my kids and i got home from school and work we were locked out of the apt and of course no one was in the office. when we finally got into the apt the fumes from the tub were so bad we couldnt stay. i also had to stay in a hotel the month i had no hot water and that caused me to be late. i had every intention on moving when my lease was up but now that i am putting in applications for other complaexes i have found out that the girl with the attitude in the office is telling potential landlords that i am consistently late on my rent!! first of all twice is not consistently late... especially when a single mother had to stay in a hotel with her child because the apartment was uninhabitable!!
