Apartment Review for Amli At Fossil Lake - Fort Worth, TX

I am in month 10 of my 12 month lease with AMLI at Fossil Lake and can't wait to move out. There have been numerous breakins in both cars and garages so I am constantly concerned about my vehicle. The security gates are constantly broken. The parking is terrible. My car suffered over a $1000 damage from renters opening their truck doors on my small car. The office lied about not having alternative carports available when I asked them to move me to a new one. A number of the office staff are the worse. I have never experienced so much rudeness in my life. They make you think they are doing you a favor to even talk to you. Sometimes they call you back when you place a work order and sometimes you never hear from them. Trash lays around for a week or so on the grounds before it is picked up; cigarette butts are everywhere. I think part of the problem is that they have lowered the requirements and let just about anyone rent there. The trash dump overflows on the weekends. When it snowed and iced during the winter, I had to ask them to sand/salt the stairs and sidewalks so we could get out of our apartment. They never even shoveled them so that people could use the sidewalks. The noise level in my downstairs apartment is terrible. The people above me must move their furniture and vacumn at midnight several times a week. The last straw for me came when I wanted to use their so called communications hub conference room for a small family party. They wanted several hundred dollars to secure the room and demanded that I provide insurance to insure not only my family members but the management themselves! It would have cost several hundred dollars just for the insurance which was not covered under individual apartment rental insurance. The office promotes the room as a perk of living there but it is really more of a scam. The car care center is also a farce as the vacumn doesn't work. We even got an email that if you didn't pick up after your dogs, management would come into your apartment and have your dog removed. Not a pleasant experience and way overpriced for what you really get!
