Apartment Review
Not an affluent community- Unemployed welcomed!

The property was built as fast as possible and it shows. For new units maintenance had to come and repair and repair. It is a cookie cutter complex but once your problems are fixed (they get fixed fast) then you are good with your unit. The noise: You can hear the people next door sleeping, kids crying in the next bedroom. In the bathrooms you can hear people walking by, you can hear your neighbors business so they can probably hear yours. The walls are super thin! I don't care to hear my neighbors using the bathroom or their personal bedroom discussions. You can hear your neighbor's tv upstairs - if you complain the office doesn't do anything. They make courtesy calls but that's about it. The screaming children, noise of people doing their deeds, running around and stomping will continue. I've lived in several apartments and this is the worse with noise. Safety - car breakins have happened. It could be that the walking gates are left open or that the entry gates don't close after every car and about 3 cars can trail you to get in which happens about 95% of the time. People that do not belong to our complex use our pool because they know our codes. The hallway lights are solar powered so it can be totally dark for about 45 minutes before they kick on which is real nice for seeing your keyhole, seeing who is knocking, and for walking down a hallway by yourself. Parking - around the pool has it's peak times. Sometimes you have to park in another units parking area. The buildings in the back left of the property have this problem. Not handicapped friendly parking in some units. Those with disabilities hope for a lucky day that they find close parking. Parking basically sucks Thursday - Sunday. Condition of Unit - Nice, basic, and common for new units. The bedrooms are small, the closets are nice size. One bed room per person is about how to define the size. The appliances are really spacious and very nice - best asset of the unit. The doors are starting to stick, foundation is starting to move. NO BUGS AT ALL!!! The windows are great if they were installed properly. The air conditioning unit clogs in some units mostly the 2+ bedrooms. Maintenance rocks! Eva works around the complex and is soooo sweet and willing to do anything to help you. She is a great asset to the complex. Watch out for the poop owners leave behind, and it will stay for weeks. We counted how long one area stayed and it was 3 weeks. Watch your step! The sprinklers attack! They come on at the weirdest time so if you don't mind walking in puddles you will be fine. I think they are drowning the walk ways which is a campaign of FW not to do. Office staff - We are on the second mgr since the complex opened July 2009, the 2nd assistant mgr. Kristin has been with the complex since the start and she is great. The staff is known to make exceptions for those they personally know. They aren't very knowledgeable (minus Kristin). Shelly stays in her office and doesn't get to know the community. There is no organized meetings of the community to voice concerns. When you have a concern you get two responses - I'm sorry or There is nothing we can do about it. So as long as you have no problems you can pay your rent and have no problems. The pool is now open and we have loud music playing with bad words which is great for those with kids. It is a great hang out for the large number of unemployed residents at the unit. I don't know how it is suppose to be an affluent community if you can be unemployed. I no longer want to live where so many people have time on their hands and invite friends over... it just sounds like trouble in the making!!! I don't recommend. I'd try another new unit in the area. The rent is long at a reasonable rate if you sign for 13+ months, any less look elsewhere!
